About us

ANCAT is a cat rescue from Badajoz, Spain, with more than 25 years of history. It began by taking in the cats that ended up at the municipal pound, and today it looks after more than 60 cats between foster homes and street colonies.

Behind it there is essentially one person, supported by a network of foster homes, sponsors and volunteers spread all over Spain. No grants, no public funding: everything is paid for by Teaming, members and the charity shop.

Every adoption is done properly: a questionnaire first, a contract, a full vet protocol and a caring follow-up. And since the cats travel, there are ANCAT cats living all over Spain.
