I've found a cat
1. Are they hurt?
Take them to a vet as soon as possible; emergency vets are open at night too. If you can't move them safely, get help before risking them running off.
2. Check for a microchip
Any vet will read it for free in a minute. If there's a chip, there's a family: it's the fastest way home.
3. Kittens?
If you've found kittens on their own, don't move them yet: their mother is most likely nearby, hunting or moving them one by one. Watch from a distance for a couple of hours; with their mother they have a much better chance.
4. Take photos and spread the word
Ask around the neighbourhood and share the photos in local groups: many "lost cats" live three doors down from where they show up.
5. Let us know
Write to infogatosancat@gmail.com with a photo and the location. We are few and resources are stretched, so we ask for patience — and if you can foster the cat at home while a family is found, you'll be saving their life twice.
